Introduction
These Terms of Service apply to services provided by Canterbury Cleaners Ltd. By requesting a quote, booking a service, using our website, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Quotes and Pricing
Online calculator prices are shown as a GST-exclusive estimate, with the 15% GST amount and GST-inclusive total displayed separately, based on the information entered by the customer. Cleaning products, standard equipment and normal return travel within Christchurch City are included unless the estimate or final quote says otherwise. Travel outside the standard Christchurch City service area and paid parking are confirmed separately before booking.
The final GST-inclusive price is confirmed before a booking is accepted. A price change may apply if the property size, condition, access requirements or requested scope differs from the information originally supplied. Canterbury Cleaners will explain any change and obtain approval before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Promotions and Cleaning Schedules
The FIRST10 new-customer offer provides 10% off the base price of the first eligible residential cleaning service. Eligible services are regular or general home cleaning, deep cleaning, move-out or end-of-tenancy cleaning, and residential carpet cleaning. It excludes add-ons, appliance-only work, specialist services, commercial cleaning, post-construction cleaning, outer-area travel, paid parking and other third-party charges.
FIRST10 is limited to one use per customer, household and service address. It cannot be combined with another promotion.
One-off, weekly, fortnightly and monthly cleaning schedules use the standard full per-clean price shown by the online estimator. Choosing a regular schedule does not automatically reduce the price. Add-ons are charged separately and do not repeat unless they are specifically included in the accepted scope.
Bookings
Bookings are subject to availability. Canterbury Cleaners may reschedule services due to staff availability, weather, emergencies, safety concerns, or unforeseen circumstances.
Payment Terms
Payment is due on completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing. Commercial clients may be invoiced according to agreed payment terms. Late payments may incur reasonable recovery costs.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations, unavailable access, or missed appointments may incur a cancellation or call-out fee where this was disclosed in the accepted quote or booking confirmation.
Access to Property
Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property at the scheduled time. This includes access to required areas, water, electricity, parking information, keys or entry instructions where relevant.
24-Hour Service Support
Canterbury Cleaners aims to provide high-quality cleaning services. If something important within the agreed scope was missed, please contact us within 24 hours so we can review the concern and arrange an appropriate resolution.
Limitations of Liability
While every effort is made to achieve the best possible result, Canterbury Cleaners cannot guarantee complete stain removal, restoration of damaged surfaces, removal of permanent marks, or results affected by pre-existing wear, damage, mould, corrosion, or neglect.
To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, our liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
Health and Safety
Customers must disclose hazards that may affect our staff or contractors, including unsafe access, aggressive animals, biohazards, dangerous substances, or damaged surfaces. We may refuse or stop work where health and safety risks are present.
